Easter
Unwrapped!
The unwrapped Designer market was on Sunday. Here are some hasty photos I took at the event (Ethan didn't like the loud dance music, so I didn't have time to have a good look around). I miss a good market, when I was living in Sydney I visited Glebe market once a month. Less frequently I visited the Balmain, Rozelle and Bondi markets. Now I live in Perth and sadly this city doesn't seem to have so many quality markets to showcase arts, crafts and textiles. Maybe events like these will change that?

Sunday picnic
Sunday we took our baby to Kings Park for a picnic. This Grey Butcherbird was in a nearby tree.

some Italian goodness
Today we checked out the beautiful cars at the Italian Car Show. The logo is from a 1925 vintage Fiat. I love the Art Deco design...
And some adorable Fiat 500's of varying ages. I'll have the lemon yellow please!!
Our baby boy!!
Meet our new addition to the family. He is a healthy little boy who demands a whole lot of my time. I think he is the most precious thing in the world...

"The Crow and the Peacock"
[EDIT] I didn't realise that there was a fable about the Crow and the Peacock until Stephanie mentioned the fable in her comment. Or maybe I had heard the story before and it was somewhere in the corners of my mind.
I started out wanting to paint a crow in ink and then I thought I should put it next to something bright and colourful in comparison.
Drawing over watercolour
Coloured pencil over watercolour background.
Coloured pencil is a medium that I am fairly comfortable with, watercolour I am not.... I did this drawing several years ago. Lately I have been focusing on painting with acrylics and watercolours.
